Loveland Center Hosts Area Nonprofits for Impact100 SRQ Training

Grant writers and representatives of Venice area nonprofits joined Loveland staff for a half-day training by Impact100 SRQ members of the Nonprofit Engagement Team, Susan Lerman and Betsy Friedman. Attendees studied impact metrics, discussed opportunities for collaboration, and imagined a better world for all. Led by Program Manager Irvin Agosto, guests enjoyed seeing Loveland participants and our programs in action. Highlights included coffee bar and breakfast by Loveland, fresh ways to view grant writing by Impact100 SRQ, a full tour of our activity rooms, learning spaces, kitchen, gardens, sensory spaces, and performing arts center, featuring dance studio, lobby, and black box theatre. Loveland’s participants and nonprofit leaders re-connected as old friends and made new ones. BBQ Sponsor Kelly Oliver greeted the group of leaders at British Open Pub for lunch to conclude the training.

Community Engagement Manager Ryan Brown shares Loveland Bradenton’s collaboration with Manatee Performing Arts Center, where participants visit weekly to volunteer washing wigs, building costumes, and helping with scenery.
