What is Loveland?
Established in 1962, Loveland Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) across SWFL to live their lives to the fullest.
Loveland’s Office of Philanthropy exists to engage a community of supporters that will not only boost visibility for our mission and for individuals with I/DD, but also aid to secure the overall fiscal health of the agency well into the future.
What is Loveland’s annual operating budget?

What are your typical funding sources?
Loveland is an approved Medicaid provider and receives a portion of its funding from a fee-for-service model. However, The State of Florida is 49th in funding for individuals with I/DD which means that there are countless individuals in need of scholarships to attend programs, as well as a number of programs and services not fully supported by Medicaid which force agencies like Loveland to rely on support from grants and private donations.
Philanthropic support of our mission helps to provide:
- Scholarship support for individuals not on Florida Medwaiver
- After-School car for children with I/DD
- Respite services
- Recreation programming
- Companion & Personal Support services
- Capital expenses
- Quality improvement support
